Our Mission

The mission is to network churches to care for one another and to partner to obey the Great Commandment and the Great Commission. The strategic objectives are to strengthen churches for mission, network churches for mission, and mobilize resources for mission.

WHAT WE DO

We are a network to provide opportunities by working together for Kingdom causes. Providing customized coaching and consultation for churches that want to take the Next step in their life and work. We equip and coach pastor search teams and help pastors that are seeking churches.

OUR COMMUNITY

PBA leads dialog groups for pastors and others where "iron sharpens iron" (Prov. 27:17). We are a broker and network between, among, and beyond the churches to bring resources to bear on the practical needs of churches. PBA equips church leaders through coaching, consultation, materials, evens, and referrals.

Michael retired from Pleasant Garden Baptist Church after pastoring for thirty years and then was called to serve the PBA in November of 2018. He attended Gardner Webb University and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has an incredible passion for evangelism and missions; has served as a Trustee with the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention.

Michael is married to his beloved wife, Teresa, and they have two precious daughters: Shannon and Shelley. They have four terrific grandchildren. Michael and Teresa were also foster parents and have kept 51 babies!

Michael's hobbies include woodworking, refinishing antiques, sports, cooking for large groups, and family events.

Rebecca came to the PBA staff in November 2005. In addition to the many administrative duties she takes care of around the office, Rebecca makes reservations for our facility. If you have ever called the PBA, you most likely have been met with Rebecca’s voice on the other end and her servant’s spirit.
